Independent Cargo Inspector (Remote)
Part-time and home-based, anywhere in the US. You check test shipments so our underwriters can see how cargo arrives.

Haldersund is taking on Independent Cargo Inspectors across the United States. Test shipments arrive at your door. You check each one against a checklist, record what you find, repack it and send it on. The work is part-time and remote, paid monthly.
Parcels and test shipments are delivered to your home. You inspect the packaging and the contents against our checklist and photograph their condition. You log the result in the inspector app and flag anything damaged or tampered with. Then you repack the items properly and forward them as instructed. Now and then the claims team will ask for a short video call to walk through a case.
Pay and schedule
- $4,200 a month, plus a performance bonus
- Remote and US-based. The shipments come to your address
- Part-time. You set the hours around deliveries
- Tools: your phone and our inspector app
What we ask for
- US resident, 21 or older, with a stable home address and a clear background check
- A smartphone with a working camera and reliable internet
- A careful eye for detail and the ability to lift 40 lb
